Well, last week I finally found MP3 players for the girls. They weren't with me so I bought them and brought them home. But the idea was that they were going to buy them with their allowance money that they've been saving up since the summer. So, when the girls came home from school I told them to get their wallets and have a seat at the kithen table. Then I pulled out my chalkboard and wrote $34.49 on the board. I told them that for today only they could purchase an MP3 player from me for $34.49. They didn't have to, but that this was a good one and a good price. Madelyn was VERY excited. Lauren was excited but had her head down a bit....she looked up and said "do you think that I could pay a little bit less than that since I only have $41?". So, attempting to keep from giggling at my little dutch girl, I said "knowing that I bought these for $34.49, what price do you think would be fair for you to pay, Lauren". Madelyn was all over that......."how about $30, Lauren? Do you think that would be good?". Lauren looks up and sheepishly says....."how about $29, Mom?".
Well, how do you say no that THAT!!! Too funny!!! What can I say, my girls like a bargain!
So, needless to say, there was a sale on MP3 players at our place on Friday. (Only while quantities lasted of course).
Now Dave and I just have to get used to our two little girls sitting beside each other singing away to different songs because they have no clue that we can hear them!!!! Oh well, it helps in the van since our radio is busted. Good thing we still have music!!!....even if it's not always on key!
