Here's Miss Rachel performing at her JK Open House. They sang Jingle Bells and Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer.
She did a GREAT job!

Yep, she's got a man teacher! He's pretty cute with the kids. He's got two of his own so he's pretty used to this age.

Here's Rachel eating one of the cookies the kids decorated for the Moms and Dads. Yep, even I had to brave eating one. I just tried not to think about the snotty noses, licked fingers, and sneezes......
the apple cider was good!!!!

Here's Rachel cleaning up the puzzle she was playing with.
That was Friday. Friday night we had a family night. In an attempt to get the kids to remember that Christmas is giving the past few years we have taken the kids to Dollarama and let them buy gifts for the rest of the family. This way they can pick whatever they want and it doesn't cost us a fortune. And we don't end up trying to coax them away from gifts we don't want to spend the money on. They get to pick....totally on their own.... (Dave's getting a whoopie cushion from Rachel!!!! tee hee).
After touring Dollarama and making their decisions we walked over to Booster Juice for a yummy dessert.
Saturday, I worked, Madelyn had a birthday party, Lauren went to gymnastics, Dave put up trim, and Rachel kept Daddy company. Saturday night we were off to friends' place for great food and even better company (thanks for hosting Ken and Carole!)! We played the 'bowl' game, which is always a hoot. Who knew people still remembered who Pee Wee Herman was! (Now was that a creepy kids show or WHAT!!)
Sunday, was best of all. Dave, Madelyn, Lauren and I were off to the St. Jacob's playhouse theatre along with Jeff, Annemarie, Jacob, and Abby, and Mark, Christine, Troy and Emily.
We went to see the play Aladdin! It was AMAZING!!!! It had a ton of great humour for the adults as well as lots of laughter for the kids too. If anyone remembers Major Beadhead from Big comfy couch, he was one of the main characters. It's done now, but I would highly recommend seeing it if it ever comes back!
Well, I had better finish getting Rachel off to school. I was lazy this morning and called up Natalie who's going to pick her up for school.....so I can stay in my jammies a little longer!!! :0)
What are friends for! (besides burning foreheads.....no I'm not going to let her live that down....especially after she says "oh c'mon it wasn't THAT bad!!!! Whatever!!!) :0)
Have a good day!

Good job on your performance, Rachel! Too bad I couldn't be there to hear your songs. Maybe you can sing them for me at Christmastime. Love you!
