Rachel (almost 4 yrs old) says: Today I played at the playground where we have recess. And we practiced fire drills. Grandpa W. made me peanut-butter and jam sandwiches for lunch today. It tasted fine. And I had arrowroot cookies with peanut butter on it. That was Grandpa's idea.
Lauren (6 1/2 yrs old) says: Today I played on the beehive at recess. And we had hero day. Jenna dressed up as her mom and Deanna dressed up as God. She had a blanket around her tied up. I dressed up as Auntie Jen (with Annika) because she's nice.
Madelyn (8 yrs old) says: Today it was hero day. I dessed up as my dad. The grade 3's and 3/4 class won. (Mine is the Gr. 3 class). We won 2 pieces of licorice. Sarah F. said she was going to dress up as an acorn, because that was the only costume she had. But she dressed up as a princess instead. Today I had a lot of fun and I can't wait until Monday because it's picture day. I'll probably wear jeans with a new shirt.

OK...now I'm crying! My heart has absolutely melted with the whole "hero" thing.
Lauren: You look amazing (much better than the real Auntie Jenn)! You'll have to give me some hair tips.
