Hello all! If you're new to the Jonker Family Blog here's the gist of US. Dave and I met when we were 14 but started dating at 16 (yep, we've been together for 16 years!). We got married at 21 while still in university, Dave for System Design Engineering and myself for Social Development Studies. Madelyn joined us 3 1/2 yrs later in 1998, then Lauren 17 months later, and finally Rachel 2 1/2 yrs later in 2002. Dave works for a software company and I work for a real estate brokerage. I'm doing admin now but working on my courses. Come the spring I should have my license and be ready to do the fun stuff!
Dave enjoys being an entrepreneur, drawing/painting, and board games with friends. Myself, I enjoy stamping, board games with friends, and well, shopping! Madelyn (8)takes after her dad and loves artsy things, drawing, writing stories, reading, and she's very good at all of them! Lauren (6 1/2)loves giggling. Anything to have a good laugh! She enjoys playing games, gymnastics and she's a very good help around the house. Rachel (almost 4).....well, Rachel enjoys talking.....A LOT! She loves to play pretend and often will scold others for walking in shark-infested waters or stepping on her class of children. Rachel also loves sucking her thumb and cuddling with her blankies, which she often sneaks out of her room!
As a family we enjoy spending time with our friends and family. We like playing board games together. We have a little game we play at the supper table where we ask each person what they're favourite thing to do that day was. If you've visited us for dinner you've probably been asked! We also enjoy going to church together. The girls love singing! Some of their favourite cd's are Zoegirl, Jump 5 and BarlowGirl. Dave prefers Diana Krall and U2, and myself, I like Diana Krall, Mercy Me, Newsboys, Jars of Clay......and the list goes on!

Nice site, Kris. But...I didn't know that Dave painted! Jason just informed me that he mostly did body painting. Sounds fun! :)
LOL! Dave took all fine arts courses for his electives in university. Could have almost had a minor. (ask to see his stuff sometime! - he'll hate me for saying that!)
